I been following this site for a minute, I dont post much but I wanted to start my own build thread to showcase a 74 Caprice and get some feedback. I know most of ya dont like the 4 doors but I plan to change some opinions with this one. I originally was doing a 74 Impala, it just had too many rust issues. Finally I found this Caprice on e-bay and it seemed like a good deal. She's going in the paint booth on friday. Just came home from a 4 year state bit, now it's my turn to shine! Thanks.. Im going with a HOK kandy blue fade from top to bottom, not sure if I want to put a vinyl top back on or not. Already have all new chrome mouldings from my abandoned 74 Impala project. Also plan to put a complete chrome Impala nose including header, corners, bezels and grill...... rims wil be 26 with a 275/25/26.

That bitch too clean, I like the 4 doors. I was watching east coast ryders vol. 1 last night and the white 4 door vido was driving was nice. I've been thinking bout buying one.

The corner ears are metal...... they actually made from pot metal, which is a lil softer than steel. Had no problem gettin em chromed. Shop out here called the Chrome factory did all my plating. Charged me 70 each ear and 225 for the header. Not sure if they good prices but then again I aint from south Fl.

Finally found an OG dash pad....... no cracks no damage. All the way from Alaska for 150 plus 29 shipping. X-mas starting to look good around here! Gonna clean it up with dupli-colors prep wipes before color matching with dupli-color vinyl spray paint. :wtf: Posted Image

Naw.... the buckets and grille are made from plastic, so I found a place down in Fla. that electroplates all plastics - Custom Coatings[850]-562-0538 That was 4 years ago... think he charged me 75 per bucket and 250 for grill
