I am about to purchase some 26's for my 2003 Crown Vic and want to know whats the best size tire I need to get? The company let's me choose the tire size as part of the package and I'm taking my Vic to a spot in Memphis which is gonna raise the Vic and has a machine that precisely cuts what needs to be cut in order to get a perfect fit.....

it all depends on how you wana ride, if you wana sit up a lil go with 295 30 26 tires, but if you wana sit relatively low go with 275 25 26 tires, oh and make sure you order some high offset 26s like atleast +30, or either order some 9 inch wide 26s with a +20 offset.....................cause if you order a +15 OFFSET wheel and it's 10inches wide your wheels gone polk out

Won't the suspension have it sitting relatively high already? so 275-25-26's would be fine i assume....what size tires are on yours?

yeah they about the same size as those on my car, honestly you couldn't tell the difference, in them cause it's only a few decimal numbers difference in height

so basically, I would like to sit low, but if i go with the 275-25-26's do you think it would still have to be cut as much as you had to cut yours?

Guess I'll go with the 275-25-26's...you think it will still be lifted by the shop since the tires will be skinnies?

Those Toyo's wear out fast as hell. If you wanna go with a 25 series tire get the Pirelli 295/25/26. It has better treadwear.

How about a +25 offset

I think that will be fine, i was looking at some HELO rims a while back and they were 24x10s but had a +25 offset. The guy I talked to at the website, said they would work fine, perfect offset for the car.

I also talked to the owner of the Purple Merc on 6s I posted in my thread, (its a 04, same suspension as yours and mine) and he had his rims shaved back due to the custom fiberglass back plates and it drop his offset from +30 to +25 and as you can see, the rims still tuck.

Ive seen a +20 offset on a new body Vic/Merc and it worked just poked out a little bit.

26x10s with a +20 offset, see how they stick out just a little bit?
