  • What I'm Driving:
"76 Caprice Donk Coupe on 26's, "85 Caprice Box Coupe on 24's

Posted 12 April 2010 - 09:39 AM

I got the 76 glass house caprice, lifted on 26's, candy sprayed, chrome nose, guts, it's real clean. I'm thinking about taking the top off! Not planning on making it a vert, like Trace and them did to the Box coupe on 30's, thinking about going more like them Huntsville boys, that be chopping the tops off everything, and wrapping the edges, or glassing it clean, See 2008 photo gallery, down to Huntsville. I've seen step by step shit of them doing the work. Me and my folks do body work and all that shit, and I know I can make it work, and look good. But it's a HUGE step to cut the fucking top off of a car. I'm thinking "fuck it", I got a daily driver, and I only drive the chevy once in a while, shows, rides outs, weekends in the summer. What yall think? Lose the top? Anyone done this personally? If so, throw me some advice if you think I need it. Let me know!

Why hack a perfectly good car that you can drive in any weather if you had to and turn it into a fair weather car.....what about those weekend cruises during the winter?....Myself I couldn't do it!....buy a vert !!!!!!......Its not as easy to put it back on as it is to take it off!!!! <_<
