I have a 2003 grand marquis that has factory air ride in the back. I bought some 24's that someone had on their magnum. I think the offset is low on the rims. While my 2003 grand marquis has a high offset. So the rims poke out about a inch.

The rims are 24" U2 35 rims that where on a dodge magnum.

How can i get these rims to fit? will having the wrong offset hurt anything or mess something up?
Should i just put knuckles in the front and raise the air ride all the way up in the back?

knuckles in the front.......... the rear should be fine at stock height especially since you have the air to adjust it when you have alot of people rolling with you......... the rims polking out won't hurt anything but the look, just doesn't look good imo, but hey gotta do what ya gotta do

"Ain't nuthing like swerving in front of a nigga then stop... back rims spinning forward while the front spin backwards and the trunk whamming..... #i'm sorry but a forgi can't do that

how many inches would 2 fat knuckles (that are suppose to go in the rear) lift the front of my 2003 grand marquis? I know I put two in each spring but how much of a lift is that? I want to do atleast 3 inches until I order and install my lift cups.

How hard is it to install cups by the way.

Here is a couple pics of my 04, (2) fat knuckles on each side, and a set of spacers in the rear, (doesnt have the air ride)

As you can see, its def not 3 inches, measured from the ground to the fender, id say its more like 1 1/2" to almost 2",

(2) fat knuckles per side is perfect IMO, matter of fact when I had one per side I was good, but I was worried about fenders drops and I was on the Hwy alot so went with 2 for peace of mind.

Cups are easy on the CV/Mercs, but if your looking to lift that front, the only option is the kit UCL sells its a little different than the cup lift.

Man I have an 03 marquis with u2 35s in the mid offset +18 and mine poke out... I put cups in and it is a moderately difficult job unless you have some mechanical skills... you can go see mine in the vic/marquis lift thread a couple pages back... honestly though I would listen to ^ and just put a couple knuckles up front for 24s

^^^

what page is yours on its alot of car in that thread...lol...u still have the rims on? are they 24's? and did having the wrong offset mess up anything in your suspension?

I put 2 knuckles in their today (which is an easy job by the way) and now I hear like a little squeek like noise...sounds more like metal on metal rubbing.

Did that happen to anyone else?
