Fam as far as engines in concerned, I'll NEVER buy built engine. Build it up, youll appreciate 100x more. And as far as your DONK, might as well stick you a 454 in it but since you wanna drive it around or whatnot, built up 350/383/406 or whatever you choose but I'd most def build it. Fuck buying prebuilt engines. Takes the fun outta busted knuckles... JMHO
Yeah... I feel you! I'm just worried about the time and I'm really not trying to buy a 2nd car right now. Funds is tight and I'm going to school. I guess I'll start looking for used engines to work on while I got the original sitting in there. Thanks for the info!

The 71 Impala I'm picking up on Monday got two dollar size rust spots. Dude said it's not all the way through and I've been trying to get some info from body shops, but of course they want to see the car. You know about how much it will cost to fix that ish! I'm trying to find out if the MAACO around here does work or trying to get a connect with one of the body workers to get em a side job. I really ain't trying to spend over 4 stacks to have that joint clean and ready for the road. Interior... Some bump... And Clean outside. Holding off on the rims til later because I might sell it. I want a vert, but ain't been able to find a decent one yet.

Basically all my friends know poston, who works at MAACO there by dover road. He does side jobs at his folks house. Thats a big car and you get what you pay for with paint IMO
I paid 1100 for materials and another 2500 or so for all the work I got done years back, WITH no jambs. All the good painters; all the devine boys, billy, etc basically fell off. Billy used to get 5-6 grand or better for his work because it was FLAWLESS. He took forever like all the other mfers, but poston gets it done quicker and has basically taken over for all them.
